SMART program; smart byline?

Merridawn and I are trying something new in this space: Instead of an original piece every week, we're going to treat 2B Writing Company's blog as an ongoing catalogue of our work.
My most recent piece is a short feature about the 25th anniversary of the SMART (Start Making a Reader Today) program. It's impressive and has made a huge and lasting impact on myriad kids' lives; thanks to the longevity of Oregon's own non-profit reading program, many of those "kids" are today's young adults.
One of them is featured in the lead of this piece: http://www.oregonlive.com/opinion/index.ssf/2016/10/smart_celebrates_25_years_of_r.html.
(Note bene: The print edition of The Oregonian actually gave me a byline; this online edition -- on OregonLive -- only referred to me as a "Guest Columnist." Compliment? Not sure.
